WEALTH AND MONEY PART XXXII A HUGE WIN FOR PUBLIC BANKING

printing money
Santa Fe, New Mexico is a city of roughly 70,000 people. They have just won a major victory in overcoming the parasitic bonds of the Wall Street banking cartel. Rather than continuing to live in endless debt servitude to wealthy predators, the people of Santa Fe are choosing to invest in themselves. City wealth and capital will be placed in a community owned bank and interest on investments will be returned to the people. Millions of dollars in public funds that would have gone to Wall Street will now be used to improve life for the citizens of Santa Fe. The Wausau ...

At meetings with business executives from large companies he has promised to cut regulation by 75 percent. “If there’s a new regulation, they have to knock out two. But it goes far beyond that, we’re cutting regulations massively for small business and for large business,” Trump said during the signing of the order. The administration stresses that the ...

HIS FIGHT, OUR FIGHT

(Denele blogs from Arkansas. You can read more at DeneleCampbell.org.) According to the brief description that accompanied this photo that crossed my Facebook timeline the other day, the funeral of Pretty Boy Floyd drew the largest attendance of any such event in Oklahoma history. The image gives me goosebumps, almost puts a lump in my throat. It’s not the coffin—I can’t even discern where it is. It’s the people, backs straight, their attention focused entirely on the dead man. On what he represented. My dad sometimes talked about Pretty Boy Floyd although ...

QUOTATIONS

“We seemingly tolerate a rising level of violence that ignores our common humanity and our claims to civilization alike. We calmly accept newspaper reports of civilian slaughter in far off lands. We glorify killing on movie and television screens and call it entertainment. We make it easy for men of all shades of sanity to acquire weapons and ammunition they desire.” --Robert F. Kennedy, 1967 “All of the amazing people in the world will always outnumber the criminals.” --Anna Weiland, 10 years old, March 29, 2017 “An individual has not started living ...

THE SKY IS GREEN AND GRASS IS BLUE

THE SKY IS GREEN AND GRASS IS BLUE This is the now famous photograph of the “Napalm Girl” and of the Vietnamese children fleeing because aircraft from the United States of America were dumping the chemical weapon napalm on their village. Napalm was designed to stick to the human body and burn off the skin. This is a photograph of a Vietnamese woman holding a child who has been burned by napalm. The dropping of napalm and Agent Orange by the United States over Vietnam is likely the greatest use of chemical weapons in world history. Thousands of Vietnamese ...

SENDING MESSAGES

Two big news stories of the last week are the missile attack on Syria and the “mother of all bombs” being used in Afghanistan. The juxtaposition of these stories with the April tax filing deadline is so ironic it demands comment. These two attacks on other countries are classic examples of why we have budget problems. These stories also speak volumes about who we think we are, vs who we actually are, as a society. The U.S. attacked an airbase in Syria with 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles in response to the alleged use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government. Our ...
