Repetition is essential for learning. It is also a way to manipulate and control people's thinking. Advertisers bombard people with frequent messages to get them to buy stuff. Dictators repeat the “big lie” until it becomes accepted as truth.

The November election is just 3 1/2 months away. In ads and speeches, candidates for elected office often talk about their hometown roots to convince citizens they will serve their wants and needs. In two of his ads our current district House of Representative member and candidate for Governor Tom Tiffany plays on this theme.

7th Congressional Forums
July 21, 2026 – 6:30 – 7th Congressional District Candidate Forum – NTC
This is a joint event with four other local Leagues. The plan is to have the candidates come to Wausau and then live stream the event to four community colleges in the 7th district.
As for the Governor’s all of the candidates approved by WEC will be invited. Each candidate will have the same question with the same time.

August 11th is the Partisan Primary in Wisconsin. Currently there are five Democratic and two Republican candidates for governor. On the Republican side Trump endorsed Rep.
