Mujeres Aliadas Advocates for Health Care Rights
Mujeres Aliadas (Women United) is a non-profit clinic and birth center and midwifery school in the Lake Patzcuaro area of Mexico. The midwives and outreach staff travel to area schools and villages educating and empowering women to take charge of their health and become advocates for their health care rights. This area has poor access to health care, especially for indigenous women.
