HOMELESS IN AMERICA
Homelessness has become a serious problem across every town and city in America. It taxes city councils and police departments alike. Yet homelessness across the nation is set to double in the next 5 years. This problem isn’t going away.
In reality, there is little city councils or law enforcement can do to solve this problem. The roots of homelessness are national. Cities like Wausau, WI must deal with the immediate problems, but real solutions are outside of their control.

Each day a cease fire in Gaza is more imperative. An enduring and sustained ceasefire is essential for all people.
Our second Gaza pilgrimage this past Saturday brought 30 people joining in the walk. We were all heartened to hear car horns honking in solidarity for the cause.

Poor People’s Campaign
On Saturday, March 2nd, there was a mass March & Assembly at the Capitol in Madison as part of a nationally coordinated day of action in 32 states plus Washignton, D.C.
Here in Wisconsin, we gathered at the State Street steps, individuals, groups, congregations, and unions, all ready to march.
After the march we gathered at the First United Methodist Church for a mass assembly, followed by lunch.

Who has better policy ideas?
Wisconsin Assembly majority leader Robin Vos claims that Republicans have “better policy ideas for the State of Wisconsin.” He claims this will allow Republicans to continue winning elections for the legislature. But he was only putting a positive spin on being forced to accept Gov. Evers more democratic redistricting maps.

Walt Bresette, Ojibwe leader and environmental hero, in Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame
Ojibwe environmental and treaty rights activist Walt Bresette will be inducted posthumously into the Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame (WCHF) in a virtual ceremony on April 17, 2024. Bresette will join over 100 members inducted since the Hall of Fame's inception, including Aldo Leopold, Nina Leopold Bradley, John Muir, Gaylord Nelson and Menominee Nation environmentalist Hilary Waukau, Sr.
