The April Women for Women will feature ECDC and New Beginnings, helping refugees resettle in the Wausau area.
New Beginnings for Refugees is a Wausau-based community organization which supports refugees throughout critical stages of the resettlement process in Central Wisconsin. We strive to complement the work of ECDC, an experienced national resettlement agency who is opening an office in Wausau.

Poor People’s Campaign
On Saturday, March 2nd, there was a mass March & Assembly at the Capitol in Madison as part of a nationally coordinated day of action in 32 states plus Washignton, D.C.
Here in Wisconsin, we gathered at the State Street steps, individuals, groups, congregations, and unions, all ready to march.
After the march we gathered at the First United Methodist Church for a mass assembly, followed by lunch.

American Gonzalo Lira died this past January 11th after being held in a Ukrainian prison for 8 months. Lira was a political commentator on social media who was critical of the U.S. and its proxy war in Ukraine. Abducted by Ukrainian authorities, he died for exercising the right of free speech. This is an opportunity to learn more but it is also an opportunity to possibly let others know that the ground water at the Reef is 0-20 feet. It is in an area of the Ice Age Trail and a class A trout stream. Most importantly, we must protect our water at all costs.
