AND WE WOUND UP ON RACHEL MADDOW

Since Middle Wisconsin has been offline for a few weeks for repairs, you have missed a lot.

We are holding protests every Friday in August from noon until 1 PM at Representative Tom Tiffany’s Office. This beach bash one was notably the best, landing us with honorable mention on Rachel Maddow. Every Friday has a different theme and on  August 15 we brought about awareness for Toxic Tom doing nothing to protect water in Wisconsin. This awareness is anything from PFAS to wanting to open the state to bad mining business. Below are a few photos highlighting what we do and we sure hope you will join us for more.

This is your Official Undercover Invitation to the most ridiculous protest Wausau has ever seen:

What: Tom Tiffany’s Undercover Beach Bash

When: Friday, July 25, 2025

Time: 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Where: 2620 Stewart Ave, Wausau (Rep. Tom Tiffany’s office). Rain or Shine (or Sprinklers!)

*We will meet every Friday in the month of August, noon – 1 PM

You’ve stood in the rain. You’ve stood in the cold. And now… it’s time to stand in your swim fins.

We’re Northern Lights Indivisible, and you know the drill:

We protest because Tom Tiffany keeps voting for bills that slash rural healthcare, defund nursing homes, gut SNAP and Badger Care for kids, and give permanent tax cuts to billionaires—while tossing a few crumbs to seniors. He’s not representing us. He’s soaking us—literally.

Every time we protest, he turns the sprinklers on.

This time?

We’re showing up like it’s any other protest—until he turns on the water.

Then: SURPRISE!

We transform into beachgoers in snorkels, goggles, inner tubes, rubber ducky boots, the whole works. Our protest signs flip to say things like:

  •  Tom Tiffany Tries to Drown Democracy
  •  Welcome to Tiffany’s Splash Zone
  •  Soaking the People to Serve the Billionaires

We’re calling it Tom Tiffany’s Undercover Beach Bash, and we want YOU there—but please keep the beach part secret from social media, and friends who haven’t joined us before. We want him to turn on the water like usual. Then we make waves.

Bring:

  • Regular protest clothing/signs
  • Beach gear hidden in a bag or car
  • A sense of humor, waterproof mascara optional

Ready to make a splash?

See you at the sprinkler line.

In solidarity and sogginess,

Northern Lights Indivisible

Wausau Progressives
